"Lean on Me"

06/21/2021
Life is hard. Do you agree? And if you do agree somewhat, do you think life can be difficult? The answer to this statement all depends on the person who is asked and their perception of struggles. We all have struggles. Some are huge and some are slight irritations. At the same time these can and are on going. I believe most would agree it also depends on who you are and where you have been in the area of coping with life's inconveniences.

But then again, it may have a lot to do with the intensity of our struggles and our ability to cope. You see, we all have ups and downs. Many times we all work through the irritations with rapidity. But when struggles get more difficult we either collapse under the pressure or scream out for help. Is there a way through each of these trials? Yes there is.

A while back I read this statement: "We are trying to re-create God's paradise in our lives". When things were going well in most of our lives two years ago, many of us thought this line was true about most everything in our lives. Some still do, especially when we began searching for our true identity and our call by God on our life. We have learned that the re-creation of God's paradise is not based on what's in our lives but WHO. Remember, our lives are not ruled by what we want, have or hope to have in our hands and lives but who we want in our lives.

So, back to our first, three word line. We are almost through this present tough time. The pandemic has not only changed our lives but it has changed our perception of what is important. We realized when life gets difficult; we join together with others and lean on each other. God, didn't write this line; "Leaning on me, when you're not strong", but He wrote similar things that have helped us in times of trials. That line is still true in many ways, but God took it one giant step further. Don't forget, lean and learn are only one letter apart. He is what we read about it many times in the BOOK but not as emphatically as when we read what Jesus himself said to all of us: Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, ALL of you who are struggling and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

That my friend, 'rest for your souls' is paradise.

Something to think about
