It's Time!

10/25/2021

Life will be changing for us today, once more. Everyone is talking about today and the more relaxed measures the government are proposing over the next six months. And it all starts today. "Fully Open" are the words everyone has been waiting for. Even last evening, there were places that were waiting for this to start and they were there at 12 midnight. It's almost like New Year when there is a count down.

But this one is different. This one is also an important point in time where many move forward with reservations. The reason is, we did it before and it came back to bit us then. Will this happen again? No one knows.

As with everything that confronts us in life, we need to always walk with hesitancy until what we think is right and true proves itself to be just that. It's interesting that churches were not part of this new change. But that is okay, because it will come. We have a song in the church that goes this way; "In His Time, In His Time, God makes everything beautiful, in His time". That is about the God of the universe, who put the universe together, and is now in the business of keeping it together. Yes, we can help. He calls us to be caretakers of what He has given us. But there is more.

That more is to be on this journey with each other doing what we need to do and recognizing, someone else wants to walk with us. And He is Jesus. You see, He came to make things right. He came to bring us back to faith in the truth about us and Himself and our bright and wonderful future life free from more than a pandemic.

What He really wants from all of us is this: He wants us to stop doing things that hurt someone. Don't do thoughtless things that injure and bring pain to a life that is meant to be magnificent and remarkable and beautiful. You see, sin is defined as something we do that hurts someone. The someone who is getting hurt is, none other than ourselves, others and lastly, God. Life is changing, and it's our goal, to create, with God's help, a better world to live and breathe in. We are all part of the solution.

'The colors of the rainbow, So pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces, Of people going by

I see friends shaking hands, Saying how do you do

They're really saying, I love you.'

Something to think about
