PRAY - NOW

02/28/2022

If all you can do is pray, then get to it!

Recently I have shared a few times about prayer. I've mentioned the verse that tells us to pray without stopping. I have also talked about praying for each other and then lately I've talked about praying for our enemies.

This is not just what Jesus encouraged us 'who to pray for', but what prayer is all about. With this new threat to our world, we can easily be praying for all those people who are displaced as they run for cover and freedom. We need to also be praying for those individuals who are our new hero's right behind the first responders.

Many of them have never picked up a rifle let alone picked it up to defend their country. I have been watching what is going on and so many times, they are saying they are scared. Interestingly I have also been shaken by people telling me they are not watching to see what is happening anymore as they have heard enough.

This is what I know: prayer is not only for a safe day at work and the kids don't get bullied at school. Every day we have a little short pray before supper gets cold. Is that enough? Yes they indeed are prayer, but what about the half million people who are running for a safe place to be and not knowing where they will be or how they will get a drink, let alone their next meal.

Lastly, I am praying for those on the other side of the conflict, who don't want to be where they are, doing what they are doing while also being scared. They are just following orders. Just so you know, someone said that Putin's generals have no idea what to do and maybe that is an answer to our prayers.

I read this morning this; "Prayer doesn't just support our ministry, it is our ministry". Our ministry is calling upon God to do what He does best, the impossible. This is because our best isn't great. We need to pray our best for everyone and that this craziness ends soon.

PRAY WITHOUT STOPPING! For everyone involved, especially now, at this time in our world because it's not just our ministry, it's our mission.

Something to think about
