Sunrise

On a day when there is so much wrong in this world, we need some Good News. In 1966 the American Bible Society first published the New Testament Bible and called it, 'Good News For Modern Man'. Many of us who were teens back then, took hold of it and believed it was just for us. Little did we know it was actually developed for the people of Africa? We could read it and understand it as it appeared to us in plain English.

Today more than ever we need to find some good news. In our suffocating scenarios we are becoming overcome with the bad and forget there is still more good than bad. Our problem is, we have become so numb to our over saturation of bad, we struggle to fine the good. So, today I will tell you some good news. And spoiler alert, It comes with passages from the 'Good News Bible'.

I read about a school bus driver stopping in the middle of the street, getting out and helping a senior make it safe across the street. In sections of Milton most cars stop and wait for the geese who wander across the road. Another time when arriving at Walmart one early morning, a group of customers were standing in the parking lot watch God paint an amazing sunrise over the 401, while the moon was still there in the western sky.

Saw children on their way to school trying to catch up to another student just to have someone to walk with. Then on to the playground, they were actually playing together and without i phones. Come mid-morning, going into the coffee shop and listening to all those having their coffee, smiling and making so much noise it was delightful to hear.

At the end of the day, with a smile on my face I read: 1 Corinthians 10:13 Good News Translation.

Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps His promise, and He will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, He will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.

That my friends is not just Good News, its Great News!

Something to think about
