Just Listen & Go
Getting back to normal is not going to be that easy. We can't just hit the pause button followed by the reverse button. Life doesn't work like that and for many of us, that's a good thing it doesn't. Many times in the bible we are told to keep moving forward. Case in point, Jesus said; 'Follow Me'. And as you noticed, He moved forward and I believe He calculated His every move because He not only knew where He was going but He knew how to get there. Unfortunately it's not that easy for us. Yes, God directs our path, but we are human, we make wrong calls and chase after rabbits.
This brings me to the next scripture which is the Great Commandment. It's the one that puts thing in proper perspective. Loving God is not just a good idea, He commands it. You see, He started this love thing when He created the world and invited us to the party. He loved when His Son showed up here on earth to pay our fine for our sins. May sound simplistic but it is far beyond our cry on a long and dark night; "Why did You do it for me? Why do You care?"
Bear with me, the Great Commandment doesn't just stop with
God. It transcends all understanding to
love others, even your enemies. And right now in this transitional
moment of
time we all might just be a little lonely, maybe a little depressed, not
a lot
mind you. And we wish we had someone to talk to about how we feel? Yes,
we have
God but we also have each other. Another verse tells us to fellowship
with each other, support each other and hold each other close.
This is what I know; He is a great listener. He has our answer before we even ask. But He loves to hear our voice. The same is true when we call on each other, even if it's only for us listening to someone else and they listen to us.
Something to think about.
